Which market is your destination — flea, stock, or farmer's?
I am all about the farmer's market vibe. If I'm unable to sell my wares next to a "questionable ingredients" pastry booth, an unlicensed meat vendor, and a very visibly obnoxious vegan family, then what am I really accomplishing?
What would you be looking to find there?
At the farmer's market? I expect the "handmade unexpected", like say, your used dental equipment refurbished as hair clips, your friendly city-adjacent Amish farm's handmade goat's milk donuts. If you come at me with some CostCo or Walmart vacuum-sealed item, I might beat your to death with a Paw Patrol iPad case just to show my distaste.
What would be your dream within the illustration market?
Being financially stable doing work that I'm proud of, that allows me to actually get up and move my body from time to time (I'm not about those 22 hour work days where my Fitbit assumes I'm dead or actively in decay or medical crisis - you know, like fourth year) and allows me to travel the globe with the carefree attitude of, say, Rihanna. That.
